Noodles wrapped prawn

Noodles wrapped prawn... A very popular Thai snack, locally known as ‘Goong Sarong’
Very juicy inside and crunchy outside! A flavorful delight in every bite!
You’re surely gonna try it over and over again 😃

Ingredients:

▪️ 10 pieces tiger prawns, peeled (tails intact), deveined
▪️ 1/2 tsp soy sauce
▪️ 1/2 tsp oyster sauce
▪️ 1/2 tsp spicy seasoning sauce
▪️ 1/2 tsp lemon juice
▪️ 1/2 tsp garlic paste
▪️ 1/2 tsp green chili paste
▪️ 1/2 tsp onion powder
▪️ 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
▪️ Salt to taste
▪️ Thin egg noodles for wrapping
▪️ Oil for deep frying

Directions:

▪️ Mix all the spices with prawns and marinate for 15-20 minutes.

▪️ Cook noodles following the instructions given in the packet. Add a little bit of salt and oil while boiling, remove when 70% done. Strain well.

▪️ Wrap prawns randomly with noodles, complete with the ends tucked in. Avoid wrapping too tightly!

▪️ Heat a pan with enough oil for deep frying. The right temperature of the oil is very important for perfect frying. Frying should start right after dropping the prawns in oil.
Fry in batches, on medium-high heat, until noodles are lightly brown and crispy. Drain on a plate lined with paper towel.

▪️ Serve immediately after frying and enjoy with chili sauce/ tomato ketchup/ any other sauce of your choices.

Notes:

▪️ Adding oil while boiling will prevent the noodles from clumping up.

▪️ For the crispiness after frying, it is essential to remove the noodles before the boiling is fully done.

▪️ For checking the right temperature of the oil, you can dip a stick or wooden spatula in oil. It’s ready for frying if bubbles are seen!
